Surgery fixes the joint — rehab gives back your life

Whether you have had a knee replacement, a fracture or a sports injury, the final result depends on how well the muscles around the joint recover. Our physiotherapy unit works hand in hand with the doctor, so your exercises match the surgery that was done and progress at the right pace.

Programmes we offer

  • Post-operative rehabilitation — knee and hip replacement, ACL, shoulder and fracture surgery
  • Back and neck pain — core strengthening, posture correction and ergonomic advice for desk workers
  • Sports injury rehab — strength, balance and agility training with return-to-play testing
  • Frozen shoulder — mobilisation and stretching after injection
  • Arthritis care — exercises that reduce knee pain and delay surgery
  • Neuro rehab — walking and balance training after stroke

Therapies available

Interferential therapy (IFT), TENS, therapeutic ultrasound, cervical and lumbar traction, hot and cold therapy, CPM machine for knee bending, and a gym area with resistance bands, weights and balance boards.

How the programme works

  1. Assessment — pain, range of motion, strength and walking pattern are measured.
  2. Goals — realistic targets: climbing stairs, sitting on the floor, returning to cricket.
  3. Supervised sessions — at the clinic, two to five times a week.
  4. Home programme — printed exercises and short videos on WhatsApp, reviewed at every visit.

Common questions

It depends on the problem. Simple back or neck pain may settle in 6–10 sessions; rehabilitation after knee replacement or ACL surgery continues for several weeks, partly at the clinic and partly at home.

Yes — after the first few supervised sessions, most patients continue a home programme. Home-visit physiotherapy can be arranged for elderly patients in nearby areas.

Some discomfort while regaining movement is normal, but it should never be severe. Tell the therapist — exercises are adjusted to your comfort.
